Jeffrey DeShell's works include the novels Expectation (University of Alabama Press, 2013) and ArtHouse (Fiction Collective Two, 2011), The Trouble with Being Born (Fiction Collective Two, 2007), S&M (Fiction Collective Two, 1997), In Heaven Everything is Fine (Fiction Collective Two, 1991), some art criticism, and a critical book of Poe’s fiction. He was a Fulbright Teaching Fellow in Budapest, and has taught in Northern Cyprus, the American Midwest and Bard College. Currently he’s a professor at the University of Colorado at Boulder, where he lives with the novelist Elisabeth Sheffield and their two children.
